Romantic Seaport Proposal in Boston | Hannah & Luke’s Engagement Photos

When Luke first reached out to me about proposing to Hannah during their trip to Boston at the beginning of 2025, I could hardly contain my excitement. Hannah is one of my best friends — which made this proposal extra special (and incredibly hard to keep a secret!).

Over the course of the year, Luke and I stayed in touch, quietly planning every detail to make sure the moment would be unforgettable. We coordinated the timing, location, and logistics while making sure Hannah had no idea what was coming. Keeping such a huge secret from her was one of the hardest — and most rewarding — things I’ve ever done.

The morning of the proposal arrived with a light rain falling over the Boston Seaport. While many might hope for sunshine, the drizzle actually created the most peaceful and romantic atmosphere. The waterfront was empty, giving Luke and Hannah an intimate setting that felt like it belonged just to them.

When Luke got down on one knee against the backdrop of the Boston skyline and water glistening with raindrops, it was pure magic. Hannah’s reaction was everything — surprised, emotional, and full of joy. I don’t think there was a dry eye (mine included!).

After the proposal, we spent time capturing engagement photos around the Seaport. The soft light, the reflections on the pavement, and the quiet of the city made for the most dreamy and romantic gallery.

This session will forever be one of my favorites — not only because of how beautiful it was, but because I got to witness such a meaningful moment for two people I love so much.
