Denver, Colorado Mountain Engagement Session

Absolutely one of the most beautiful locations I have ever had the privilege of not only seeing, but also photographing in, this session with Maria & Tim was honestly such a great honor in my life, & I will truly remember this forever!!! I flew to Denver for just 36 hours to do this for them & I had the BEST time. Maria picked me up from the airport (so sweet :’)) and we headed to my hotel so I can check in and just freshen up. Maria & Tim picked me up about an hour later and we headed up to Idaho Springs (about an hour drive from the city) to take their engagement photos on top of a mountain!! This mountain was specifically St. Mary’s Glacier. We parked and began the trek up the mountain, mind you it becomes VERY cold & windy at the top of a mountain in Colorado – even if it summer time! The elevation was incredibly high, and coming from Wisconsin, I was definitely not used to it which made breathing hard. The hike ended up being about 30 minutes to get to these amazing lookout locations. But once we got up to this spot you forget about all of the conditions & little details of how I got to this exact point, and all I was thinking about was how do I create beautiful images for them! I couldn’t believe I was there, & looking back at one year ago this is all I could have ever dreamed of for myself. Once we finished the session, we headed back into Denver to go and get dinner & drinks, & maybe a couple of more drinks for Maria & I LOL. I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to do this with, and I can’t wait for many more memories like this one.
